The following items can be used to teach a first unit in computing with images. These materials have been used for a few lectures in a data structures course and for a half day enrichment program for high school students bound for engineering programs. The paper gives details.
The programs are very simply structured C++ programs and the images are all labeled images (ASCII) so that they can be used almost everywhere.
